Historical Research

Heritage's Historical Services program serves clients in various research fields including natural resource damage, cost recovery actions, mining and mineral processing, industrial and chemical hazardous wastes, petroleum exploration and processing, railroad and public road history, historical agricultural activities, military installation histories and UXO investigations, banking history and issues with slavery, federal involvement and control of private facilities, and potentially responsible parties (PRPs) searches. We have been successful in generating information for cost allocations determinations, accelerating rates of settlement, and significantly reducing costs for our clients.

Our research team has worked extensively in federal archives, government offices, courthouses, libraries, private collections, corporate records, and online.
